Moto Z Play is in line to receive another software update which will bump up its OS to Android 7.1.1. This has been officially confirmed by Motorola.
Motorola launched the Moto Z Play last year with Android Marshmallow. It started receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update this year in January. And now it is slated for another update with which the Moto Z Play will join the league of devices to boast of Android 7.1.1. OS.

The news was revealed at the XDA Developers forum when a senior member of the forum uploaded a screenshot of the chat with Motorola wherein to a question posed by the former, Motorola answered in the affirmative. Although, it did not outline the timeframe of the release of Android 7.1.1 update to Moto Z Play.
Meanwhile, the Moto Z Play got a price cut of 300 Yuan. It is now up for grabs at 2,999 Yuan in China with 64GB internal storage.
