At an event held in Brazil on February 7th, Motorola has finally unveiled the Moto G7 series – namely, Moto G7, Moto G7 Plus, Moto G7 Play, and Moto G7 Power. As of now, the phones are only available in Mexico and Brazil but will be arriving in Europe in a few weeks and come to the U.S. and Canada in spring.
The Moto G7 series falls in the mid-price segment. Each phone comes with the latest Android 9 Pie operating system but only three have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 chipset, with the Plus variant coming in with a superior Snapdragon 636. The fingerprint scanner is located at the back side for each member of the G7 club, and they come with USB Type-C. Surprisingly, NFC technology has not been included for the U.S. market, although some in Europe and Asia should be able to enjoy this feature.
The Moto G7 comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It has a teardrop notch for an 8MP selfie camera. The screen size is 6.2″ with a FHD+ resolution of 2270 x 1080 pixels. The phone has 12MP + 5MP dual rear cameras and a 3000mAh battery. Colors available are ceramic black and clear white. Its price is expected to be around 299$.

The Moto G7 Power has a 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage. The notch is in the shape of a rectangle with curved edges and the front camera has an 8MP resolution. The 6.2″ HD+ screen has a resolution of 1,570 x 720 pixels. The rear camera is a single 12MP camera. The Power packs the largest battery alotted amongst the G7 phones- 5000mAh- which, it is being claimed, can last for 3 days at a stretch. Starry Black and Deep Indigo are the color options. The phone will cost around 249$.

The Moto G7 Play is the smallest and cheapest variant amongst the four phones. It houses 2GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage space. It has almost the same notch as the one on Moto G7 Power, except that it is a bit wider. The notch has an 8MP front camera. The touchscreen is 5.2″ wide, is HD+, and has a resolution of 1,570 x 720 pixels. The single rear camera has a resolution of 13MP. The battery has a capacity of 3000mAh. Moto G7 Play will have a price of 199$.

The Moto G7 Plus has a similar design as Moto G7, but better on specs and features. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space. The chipset in the hardware is Snapdragon 636, unlike the others. The FHD+ touchscreen is 6.24″ diagonally across, with a resolution of 2270 x 1080 pixels- exactly like Moto G7. While the front camera is 12MP, the rear camera is dual and has a resolution of 16MP+5MP. Lastly, the battery packed in 3000mAh. G7 Plus is the costliest phone amongst the four phones of the G7 family, and will cost around 340$.
