Motorola earlier this month published release notes for March 2019 security patches for the Moto X4 users in the U.S. But it seems the company has another update available for the device with more optimizations to mobile hotspot functionality.

Today, we have come across a pair of software support pages with release notes for the latest updates to not only the standard Moto X4 but also the Android One variant of the device.

As expected, the changelog is the same, but unlike earlier this month where it only mentioned March 2019 security patches, the updated version says the new firmware also includes fixes that improve the usability of mobile hotspot.

Both variants of the Moto X4 received updates to Android Pie in late 2018, so these updates are all based on Pie. Whether owners of this device have received the OTA download notifications by now is still unclear.

You may let us know if your Moto X4 has made the switch to this new security patch in your comments below.
