Lenovo has already released the Android 7.0 update for the Moto G4 and the Moto Z. Now it looks like the Moto X Play could be the next device to get the update. The X Play is a good smartphone with features such as a 5.5 inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 21MP rear camera and a 3630mAh battery.
The Moto Z Droid and Z Droid Force smartphones in U.S were the first to receive the Nougat update, followed by the Moto G4 and G4 Plus. The updates for the G4 devices only started rolling out last week.

Expected: Q1 2017
An exact release date is not known, but it is possible that the Moto X Play may skip the Android 7.0 update and get the latest Android 7.1.1 update instead. The device recently appeared on GFXBench with Android 7.1.1 on board. This could mean that Motorola/Lenovo is testing the latest build on the smartphone.
Other manufacturers are doing this as well, such as Sony and Samsung. Google recently released the Android 7.1.1 update for the Pixel and Nexus devices.
