It hasn’t been long since the Moto G4 Plus launched, and the folks over at xda already have the latest version of TWRP recovery ready for installation.

Developer yeshwanthvshenoy at xda has just released TWRP recovery 3.0.2-2 for the Moto G4 Plus. Since it’s the first release for the device, the dev has released the recovery as a testing build only for now, but no bugs or issues are mentioned, so you’re good to go ahead and load it up on your Moto G4 Plus.

Grab the Moto G4 Plus TWRP recovery from the download link below and simply install on your bootloader unlocked Moto G4 Plus via Fastboot mode.

Installation steps
  1. Unlock bootloader on your Moto G4 Plus.
  2. On your Moto G4 Plus, go to Settings » About phone » and tap Build number 7 times to enable Developer options.
  3. Go back to Settings » select Developer options » enable USB debugging and OEM unlocking.

How to Boot Moto G4 Plus into TWRP Recovery?

  1. Switch off your Moto G4 Plus.
  2. Press and hold “Volume Down + Power” for at-least 3 seconds and then release the buttons. You’ll boot into bootloader mode.
    └ In bootloader mode, use Volume Down to scroll through options and Volume Up to select an option.
  3. Press Volume Down once to highlight Recovery option, and then press Volume Up to select Recovery. This will boot you into TWRP recovery.
