It’s here! The CyanogenMod 12 a.k.a CM12, the Android 5.0 Lollipop based version of the extremely popular and one of the best custom ROM for Android, CyanogenMod. The CM team posted on their blog yesterday that code for CM12 is now ready and independent developers can begin developing CM12 for various Android devices.
Moto G 1st Gen. turns out to be one of the first devices to get CM12. However, we wouldn’t recommend you to install the ROM just yet. It’s a very early build and most things aren’t working on the ROM yet. It’s only booting at this time, and giving you the Android 5.0 experience but nothing else.
As for the CM12 features, the CM team clearly stated that CyanogenMod 12 isn’t complete yet and some of the ROM’s features that couldn’t make it to the new Material look, are being re-imagined at this time. So you might have to wait a bit before jumping on to download and install CM12 on your Moto G 1st Gen..
