MIUI 9 to let users uninstall system apps, says MIUI Product Director

MIUI product director has been leaking/teasing details about the upcoming MIUI OS version 9.0, that’s to come with 2017 flagship phones from the company.

The latest MIUI 9 feature revealed by the director tells us about the improved user experience on MIUI 9 as the users will be able to delete/uninstall apps that come pre-installed on Xiaomi devices.

This is a huge news for folks who root their devices solely for the purpose of getting rid of removing unwanted apps from OEMs. Being able to remove system apps will further give more control to users on an already powerful OS that MIUI is.

In the previous leaks, it was said that MIUI 9 will feature battery performance optimizations as well as overheating checks. It is also rumored that MIUI 9 will feature screen recording function built right into the OS.

Currently, Xiaomi is testing MIUI 8 with Android 7.0 Nougat firmware only. We expect MIUI 9 to release with the upcoming flagship devices from the company.
