It’s yet that time of the week again that Xiaomi users are getting ready to receive a new MIUI 10 beta update. This week’s update bumps up the global beta ROM to version 8.9.20 and like previous beta updates, you are getting a whole lot of bug fixes and performance optimizations in this version.

As per the changelog preview (the full changelog will be published on Friday alongside the download links to recovery and fastboot files for all supported devices), this MIUI 10 beta update focuses on fixing bugs. Some users of the Poco F1 have been experiencing issues with face unlock while others using the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro are still having issues with app icons not showing up in the notification panel. Well, this is the update you have been waiting for all along, so make sure you grab it.

The MIUI 10 8.9.20 beta update begins rolling out on September 20th and will be available over the air. As usual, Xiaomi will provide download links to the software a day later so that those who wish to do a manual installation can do so without any frustrations of having to wait for the OTA download, which can take several days before all units get it.
