The weekly MIUI update for global beta users is ready to roll out. This week’s update comes as MIUI 10 9.1.17, up from version 9.1.10 released late last week.

Many MIUI beta testers have been vocal about the lack of new features and basically worthy additions to each weekly beta update. But truth be told, we can’t get a new feature with every update since some are simply meant to fix bugs, optimize performance and stability of the system.

With MIUI 10 beta 9.1.17, you get a mixed bag of new stuff, optimizations, and bug fixes as well. The update fixes issue where Poco F1 reboot automatically, Mi 8 Bluetooth disconnects automatically, Redmi 5 front camera clarity was not up to the mark after updating, phone number instead of the contact name is displayed in the Messaging app of Mi MIX 2S.

The update also fixes translation error in deleting SMS, the second option translates error to Turkey  in battery & performance, Weather info displays error in some languages,  translation error in Polish, spelling wrong of battery usage in security app, the battery percentage icon and network icon are very close, volume panel displays abnormally while casting, security application is always showing notification on Poco F1, Wallpaper Carousel doesn’t work, can’t register to 4G for Mi A1 and video preview size didn’t match the actual video size and incorrect deceleration prompt

In the same update, Xiaomi also notes that the UI of the status bar has been redesigned for better use and for those devices that didn’t get January 2019 security patch with MIUI 10 9.1.10, this should be the version to bring it aboard your phone.

At the moment, we don’t have the download links to MIUI 10 9.1.17, but Xiaomi should have them ready by the weekend.
