After the Mi MIX 2S and Mi 8, it’s now the turn of the Xiaomi Poco F1 to join the company’s super slow-motion video recording gang that is led by the Mi MIX 3, which has the feature out of the box.
Both the Mi MIX 2S and Mi 8 got the ability to record super slow motion videos of up to 960fps via a software update and indeed, the same is happening with respect to the Poco F1 courtesy of MIUI 10 beta 8.12.6. This is the latest beta version of the custom ROM for the F1, which is currently based on Android 9 Pie.

The update also comes with optimizations for the apps section in the settings menu and fixes screen flickering issue when unlocking the phone, among others.
As per the software version, the update starts rolling out on December 6, although the initial rollout will be limited to a small set of users, with a wider rollout to follow over the weekend and early next week.
For now, the feature is limited to the beta version of MIUI 10 and while we know it will eventually come to the stable version, we don’t know when this will happen.
