Micromax’s subsidiary Yu Televentures that launched the Yureka smartphone in December last year is all set to come up with another device. The firm has come up with teasers on its social media platforms to confirm that the upcoming smartphone will be codenamed Project Caesar and that it will be based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Notably, Yu is taking on Xiaomi with its teasers as the devices launched by the Chinese firm are based on Android 4.4 KitKat. Mocking Xiaomi, the teaser from Yu reads, “KitKat in the age of Lollipop? Give Me a break!” It is evident that the firm is taking against Xiaomi as the letter ‘M’ in the word ‘Me’ is similar to the Mi logo of Xiaomi.
Also, the tagline of the teaser reads, “Project Caesar: Stay tuned, the fYUture is coming!” In addition to this teaser, Yu posted another one on Facebook and that reads, “Lollipop comes pre-loaded with Project Caesar! Why would YU buy anything else?”
Lately, Rahul Sharma, Co-Founder of Micromax tipped that the firm is in plans to launch an Android Lollipop based Cyanogen OS smartphone in April. As the launch of the device nears, we can expect more information about Project Caesar. Notably, the Yureka smartphone will be getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update soon.
