Looks like Meizu MX6 is soon going to upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat. The leaked screenshot of the Meizu MX6 ‘About device’ screen shows the device running 7.0 build, along with Flyme OS 6.0, Meizu custom skin.

This gives us hint about the release date of the Nougat update for the Meizu MX6, that should be really close now.

Unlike its Chinese counterparts though, like the Huawei Honor 8 and P9, Elephone P9000 and Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus, the MX6 Android 7.0 firmware isn’t available for download just yet.

Meizu 6X is oon gonna see a revised and updated version of itself in Meizu Pro 6S. A few images of the Pro 6S were leaked recently and it shows the phone sporting a curved display almost similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge set.

Another upcoming Meizu set is the Meizu M5 Note that was also treated to an images leak earlier (man, someone’s doing a bad job with security).

A lot of OEMs are pushing out Nougat Beta now. And just recently screenshots of the HTC 10 running Nougat were leaked out. Xiaomi, Meizu’s main competitor in the Chinese markets, has started inviting users to test an Alpha build of Mi5 Nougat update with MIUI 8 running over it.
