We have been hearing and seeing a lot about the upcoming Meizu MX5 smartphone. Now, it looks like the rumors are true and that the device will be breaking the covers on June 30.
Early last month, it was claimed that June 30 will be the possible launch date of the Meizu device. However, it was not confirmed at that time. Now, it has been officially announced by Meizu as it has started sending out invites for a press event to be held on June 30.
The Meizu invite in the image below confirms that the device that will steal the spotlight at the event will be the Meizu MX5. Also, the words, “Full Metal Jacket” make it clear that the device will be boasting a metallic build. The “born to kill” suggests the possible competition between the other devices.
Of course, it is not surprising to know that the Meizu MX5 is made of metal as we have already seen the same in several rumors related to the device. Going by the earlier reports, the MX5 is said to feature a 5.5 inch display with Full HD 1080p resolution. It is likely to arrive with a 20 MP main snapper at its back and a 3 MP front facer for selfies.
There are claims that the Meizu MX5 will be based on Android 5.0 Lollipop wrapped with the newest iteration of the firm’s own Flyme OS. The other aspects of the device include 16 GB of expandable memory capacity, 3 GB of RAM, 2.3 GHz octa core MediaTek MT6793 SoC and a 3,150 mAh battery.
