The Meizu M5c was spotted on Meizu’s website some days ago, with little known about it except for Meizu’s traditional fingerprint scanner, single-lens camera on the back cover, and five colors for it: Black, Blue, Red, Gold, and Pink.
Now, an official launch has happened in Russia.
Meizu has launched an official Russian page for the Meizu M5c, showing off the five rumored colors for the device, the single-lens camera that leaked, as well as other information about it. Apart from these things, the Meizu M5c is made of high-quality polycarbonate, with a 5-inch, HD screen with 720p screen resolution and a 64-bit, octa-core MediaTek MT6737 processor. MediaTek SoCs are common in mid-range and low-end Android-powered handsets.
2GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 16GB of storage with a 128GB-capable microSD card slot, 3,000mAh battery, and an AI called One Mind AI are also included. Dual-SIM slots are present, too, alongside of Bluetooth 4.1 LE (Low Energy).
The front camera is an 8MP shooter with a two-tone flash, 18 photo filters, and an f/2.0 camera aperture while the back or rear camera is a 5MP shooter with an f/2.2 camera aperture. A 3.5mm headphone jack graces the handset, so you need not worry about USB Type-C audio and simultaneous phone charging. Flyme 6 is Meizu’s new UI overlay, though Android Nougat isn’t mentioned regarding the features of the handset.
The Meizu M5c is an affordable mid-ranger, launching with a price tag of 8,990 rubles, or $160 USD.
