The Meizu E2 has been officially announced in China for a starting price of CNY 1,299. This is a mid-range smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer and will only be sold in China.
Pre-orders for the device will begin from today and there are two variants available. Meizu has included some decent hardware in the E2. It comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display, a MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core chipset that’s coupled with 3GB of RAM.
You get 32GB of internal storage, a microSD slot, a 13MP rear camera, and an 8MP camera at the front. The device also features a 4 LED dual-tone flash, which is rather unique. There’s also a 3400mAh that supports mCharge 3.0. It will run on Flyme OS 6.0, which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Another variant of the Meizu E2 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage will also be sold. This model is priced at CNY 1,599, which is around $230, whereas the 3GB variant is around $190. The company will start delivering the phone to customers starting April 29.
A very good budget phone but doesn’t come with a fingerprint scanner ? that’s a bummer seeing how they’re getting pretty common these days. Also this is a Chinese exclusive 😐 so we won’t be seeing this anywhere in India …
It does feature a fingerprint scanner at the front, along with the Home button.
Ah I didn’t notice that 😀 Thanks bud 🙂
This is a good budget phone! I hope it’ll launch in other markets in the near future.
awesome phone for the price!! few changes that Meizu made makes this phone a great deal, for one I’m happy to see the new camera position, it really sets apart this phone from other Meizu Budget phones, a great deal of 3400mAh battery, sweeet 4GB RAM and the change that made me so happy about this phone is that they finally dumped the Helio P10 chip from their budget device and got a new more powerful, 16nm means battery efficient and 4k recording supported Helio P20 chip, which is the best thing about this phone according to me!!
