The Mate 9 Pro is a bumped version of the Mate 9 with increased specs and a slightly varied design. Pictures of the Mate 9 Pro have already leaked online and they reveal features akin to the Galaxy S7 and the likes.

The good news is that both devices will ship with Nougat 7.0 out of the box. Huawei has been showing good results when it comes to updating its smartphone lineup, especially after working together with Google on the Nexus phones last year. Hopefully Android 7.1 update comes soon for the Mate 9 and the Mate 9 Pro.

All three variants of the Mate 9 were announced today by Huawei in China, should be out in stores in December 2016.
