Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is set to officially release by the end of this month (September) or by November 2015. The first Android phone to ship with Marshmallow baked-in would be Nexus 5 of course, but what other Android phones will be coming with the Marshmallow update out of the box.

Like every new Android update, Marshmallow too would release with a Nexus device. The Android 5.0 Lollipop released with Nexus 9 and Nexus 6 first and then several manufacturers started shipping their upcoming flagship devices with Lollipop installed.

We guess a similar pattern will be followed by the Marshmallow update as well. Apart from Nexus devices, the Android devices to ship with Marshmallow will be the flagship devices Samsung, LG, Sony, HTC and Motorola.

If are to guess the names of these devices, it’ll be a child’s play as almost all manufacturers are following a flagship series and there no signs of that changing for any of the Manufacturer. Anyway, for what it’s worth, we’ll still give you a list of upcoming devices to ship with Marshmallow update.

Upcoming Marshmallow Android Phones

  • Google: Nexus 5 2015
    Release: September/November 2015
  • Samsung: Galaxy S7, S7 edge
    Release: April, 2016
  • LG: LG G Flex 3, LG G5
Release: February, 2016 and May, 2016
  • HTC: HTC One M10, One M10+
    Release: April, 2016
  • Sony: Xperia Z5+ or Z6
    Release: April, 2016

    Releases:
    Moto E 3rd Gen. – March, 2016
    Moto G 4th Gen. – August, 2016

That’s the list of upcoming Marshmallow Android phones set to release in year 2016. Of course there’s no official statement to support the information mentioned above, but like I said before; it’s a child’s play to guess these devices and their names.

Anyway, you shouldn’t base your Marshmallow update expectations on these devices though. All of the current flagship devices too will be getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and it’ll be quick as well.

Give or take, it’ll take not more than 90 days for all major manufacturers to push out Marshmallow update to their current Flagship devices. We did a detailed post on our expectations for Marshmallow update release date from Samsung, HTC, LG, Sony and Motorola.

For anyone wondering if Marshmallow would arrive to your mid-range Android device? Well, yes it’ll. Most of the mid-range devices sold in 2015 included a 2GB RAM, so hardware-wise all these devices will be capable of running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. But if your device’ manufacturer is that careless user-hater ignorant piece of sh*t, then you might be doomed forever on the Android version your device actually shipped with.

That said, let’s all just hope for the best and quicker Marshmallow updates from all manufacturers.
