LG has revealed that the Vu 3 phablet will not receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. The device was announced in late 2013 and it was preinstalled with the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
The South Korean tech giant rolled out the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Vu 3 phablet that employs a Snapdragon 800 chipset backed by 2 GB of RAM. The hardware of the phablet is decent enough to run the Android Lollipop build.
LG has claimed that Android Lolllipop for the Vu 3 phablet could not reach a stable state with the update and hence, the firm is not releasing the update for the device.
A group of Reddit users of the Vu 3 are on havoc since the latest decision of LG was announced. It is believed that LG is keen on rolling out the Android Lollipop update to the latest devices rather than the ones that were launched a couple of years back.
