Verizon has announced the LG Spectrum 2, a rebranded LG Optimus LTE2 and an incremental upgrade to the original LG Spectrum, and has priced it at $99 on a 2-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate. The LG Spectrum 2 supports 4G LTE connectivity, and also wireless charging thanks to a unique battery cover included in the box.
The LG Spectrum 2 sports the following specs:

- 4.7″ True HD IPS display (1280×720 pixels)
- 8 Megapixel Rear–Facing Camera and Camcorder with LED Flash

Customers can also purchase the “LG Premium Sleeve with Smart Display” sleeve for $24.99, which comes with a display to indicate the number of missed calls, text messages, emails and voicemails, and also supports customizable clocks which are displayed when the Spectrum 2 is inserted in the sleeve.
