Only a few weeks ago LG announced its premium all-metal smartwatch, G Watch Urbane, and now the Korean manufacturer has announced a LTE variant of the watch which is powered by LG’s own homebrewed OS for wearables, ditching the Android Wear platform by Google.

The LG Watch Urbane LTE will be showcased at MWC 2015 and is believed to be a direct competitor Samsung’s Gear S which also runs on Samsung’s own Tizen OS.

The LG Watch Urbane LTE sports three physical buttons on the right hand side. You could manage the settings with the top button and also check the battery life. The centre button is used for viewing the menu and the apps and then the last button is the ‘Back’ button.

As for the display, the watch features a 1.3 inch circular P-OLED display and is backed by a 700mAh battery. Also, you could make walkie-talkie voice calls and translate speeches on the watch! Pretty cool, huh? Connectivity options include LTE, Bluetooth and NFC. It is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, packs 1GB of RAM and has 4GB of storage. The smartwatch is dust resistant and water proof and there is GPS onboard too!

It has a heart rate sensor and well, if you are looking for a fitness watch, then this might be just the one for you! From what we hear, it makes a pretty decent watch.
