An image showing the front and back, and most notably T-Mobile’s branding, has leaked of the device dubbed as, LG P769. It’s a no-brainer that LG P769 is an Optimus L9 variant. In fact, it would be a good find-differences fake-game if one removes the T-mobile branding off it, and places it side-by-side to its international brother, Optimus L9 – now it’s clear where the Optimus L9 was headed when it was last seen, crossing the mighty borders of FCC gates.
Anyway, the specs of this T-Mobile’s LG LP769 shouldn’t change much from the Optimus L9. We expect it to be the same 1 GHz dual-core processor powered phone with 4.7” IPS qHD display, 1 GB RAM, 5 megapixel back camera, 4 GB internal storage and same 2150 mAh battery. Of course, with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed. No more (Jelly Bean?), no less.
No info as regards price and release date of this buddy is available as of yet, but since it’s not a high-end android device by any means today, a $50-100 price on 2 year contract can be easily expected. As regards release date, that shouldn’t be more far than ‘this fall’ or maybe this month itself. T-Mobile must be busy doing its deal with the MetroPCS, but don’t worry about that delaying the launch of LG P769 on the carrier, in case you are looking very forward to it, which is okay.
