LG Optimus Vu 2 Specs leaked, new 1.5Ghz dual core processor and 2GB RAM

Guess who’s showed up with a bumped up processor and RAM and with the same 4:3 aspect ratio? Right, there can be only one of that kind (the 4:3 kind) — the LG Optimus Vu 2, successor to the original 5-inch LG Optimus Vu.

Leaked on a Korean blog Bad IT Tong, the LG Optimus Vu 2 appears to be sporting a new MSM 8960 1.5Ghz dual core processor along with a new 2GB LP DDR2 RAM. The phone will be coming with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, and unlike Samsung, LG has decided to not increase the screen size — keeping it at 5-inch 1080×768 IPS display with the same 4:3 aspect ratio.

Other features of LG Optimus Vu 2 include 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, WiFi direct, LTE support, 2150mAh battery and expandable memory card slot with support up to 32GB.

There’s no word on the Optimus Vu 2’s price and release date yet, but with specs leaking in an official looking LG image, official announcement may come anytime now.
