LG Optimus G. We’re putting this name in our list of glorious and awesome and big and thin Android devices.
LG has finally took curtains off of its upcoming flagship phone Optimus G. And man, what a beast of a specsheet it has got. A 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 pro APQ8064 processor with LTE, 2GB RAM, 13MP Camera, 1.3MP front camera and an awesome 4.7-inch True HD (1280 x 768) IPS display that uses LG’s fully integrated touch technology (guess it’s the in-cell touch tech that’s rumored to bless the next iPhone) and all that in a form that’s just 8.45mm thick. Awesome.
The Optimus G will come with LG’s custom UI atop Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, not with Jelly Bean. And that doesn’t sound good. Specially not with a phone that is loaded with THIS much of hardware awesomeness. Phew!
The phone will release next month in Korea and on NTT-Docomo in October or November. And the worldwide launch is scheduled for sometime later in the year.
YAY! The season of devices with 2GB RAM is here folks!
