It seems the next big thing in the smartphone world is going to be wireless charging, something the Samsung Galaxy S3 optionally provides and Nokia’s Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 provide out of the box. Thanks to the FCC, we now have confirmation that the LG Nexus 4, the next Nexus phone which is currently the biggest star of the rumor mills, will feature wireless charging as well!

According to the FCC documents, the LG Nexus 4 will come with a special back cover to allow wireless charging, along with carrying the NFC chip. So we have the extremely powerful quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor under the hood, 2GB of RAM, and now wireless charging as well in the next Nexus, making it one feature-packed stunner of a device which will be even better if it releases for $399 as rumored.

That’s not all. Based on information taken from a reliable source, Android and Me have created a mock-up of what the final design of the LG Nexus 4 could be, and it will be quite attractive to look at from the back if that is indeed the case. The words “nexus” certainly look better than simply a “with Google” logo that has been seen on the back of the device till now.

So, are you guys excited that the next Nexus is going to feature wireless charging, or do you feel it is a feature that is not so important? Do let us know in the comments, and also check out pictures of the FCC documents below.
