Love it when over-zealous retailers start listing products which are yet to be unveiled, and taking the punch out of the actual announcement by the manufacturer, by revealing everything there is to know about the device, and confirming yet unannounced specifications about it. Well, it has never happened with a Nexus device to date, but then, there is always a first time. We already know of the LG Nexus 4 appearing in the Carphone Warehouse inventory listing earlier, and now it looks like CPW can’t wait to start getting orders for this baby.
Carphone Warehouse, or CPW as it’s called, one of the top retailers in the UK, seems to have been in a tearing hurry, and has already listed the yet-to-be-announced LG Nexus 4 up for pre-order on its website. What’s more, CPW is promising to ship the phone by October 30th, if you pre-order now. The LG Nexus 4 can be had for free on a £31/month 2-year contract. Off-contract pricing is not available as yet, but we’re not complaining. Also listed are the various monthly plans being offered by O2 and Vodafone UK, with the LG Nexus 4.
Specs mentioned with the listing-
- 4.7″ HD 1280 x 768 resolution display
- 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU
- 2 GB RAM
- 8 MP camera
- Android 4.2 ( This part is a bit confusing, as the site mentions it as Android 4.2 Jelly Bean in one place, and Android 4.1.2 at another)
- Color Available – Black
Internal Storage capacity or variants don’t seem to have been specified, and we’re presuming that there’s just the one 8GB version, for now. LTE readiness has also not been specified,
