There are a lot of rumors flying around about the next Nexus device that LG is making, and despite many leaked images and info, it is not yet certain if it will be named the Optimus Nexus or Nexus 4, or something else entirely. However, most rumors as well as some pretty concrete bits of info point towards Nexus 4 as being the final name, and we may just have another confirmation of that.
A picture of a coffee cup taken by a “Nexus 4” (according to the image’s EXIF data) has appeared on Picasa, indicating that Nexus 4 is indeed the moniker the next Nexus device will carry. Of course, with the device still being in prototype stage the name could change in the future, though with a rumored October 29th release date, that would seem unlikely.
The LG Nexus 4, pictures of which you can see at this link, is rumored to have a 4.7″ display (1280×768 pixels), a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel camera, and the latest version of Android (whether it is 4.1.2 or 4.2 remains to be seen). Oh, and it will also have wireless charging support out of the box according to documents found at the FCC.
Come on Google, stop teasing us and announce the LG Nexus 4 officially already. All this (not so suspenseful) suspense is killing us!
