As you very well know, CyanogenMod is officially shutting down, but all is not lost yet, as the CyanogenMod source code will be taken over by the Lineage OS team and they will be managing all current ROMs for devices henceforth.

The 31st December will be the last day for CM support and Lineage OS should take full control over the first week of January. However, the ROM has unofficially made its way out before that happens. The LG G3 looks to have gotten a port of Lineage OS. Things should be interesting, as we’ll soon find out how much of the CyanogenMod legacy is left behind in the ROM by the Lineage team.

The procedure for flashing this ROM should be the same as the rest of the custom ROMs out there. Before you proceed, take caution and more importantly take backups.

Note: This is an experimental and unofficial build of Lineage OS. There could be some serious bugs/issues with this ROM which may not be suitable for everyday usage. Install/flash this ROM to your device at your own risk.

Download Android 7.1 Nougat Gapps

Since this is an AOSP based ROM, you’re require to flash/install a Nougat supported Gapps package separately via recovery to get Google services like Play store and others back on your device.
