Okay, I might go crazy following with all the leaks today. We first had the Moto X Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA leaked and now Lollipop firmware for the LG G3 has leaked. What’s even more crazy is that, even LG has its Android 5.0 Lollipop ROM ready. LG is the last company I’d imagine of when it comes to early releases of latest Android versions, but like I said; it’s a crazy day.
An Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware just leaked for LG G3 over at XDA. The firmware is in standard LG .KDZ format, and you can install/flash it using the LG Flash Tool. However, beware that it’s only for the LG G3 F400S (Korean) variant, do NOT install this on any other variant of G3.
Looks like device manufacturers are finally realizing that pushing out Android updates quickly would only make users love them more. Motorola showed this last year with the Android 4.4 KitKat, and it seems more manufacturers are now learning it this year.
The leaked Android 5.0 Lollipop ROM for the LG G3 is reported to be unstable, and we aren’t sure either if you’d be able to downgrade from it because it’s probably going to update the bootloader version. So if you plan on installing this leaked Lollipop build on G3 F400S, be 100% aware of any consequences you may have to deal with later.
Grab the leaked LG G3 Lollipop ROM from XDA here →. For installing this you’ll need the LG Flashtool 2014, where you can download from here.
