A new update is now available for the LG G Watch, that comes as build version M1D64K. That’s based on Android Wear 1.5, while as for the changelog, the update brings the November security patch to the watch. Barring the security level updates, there are no much changes in the UI.

LG G Watch is nearly a forgotten device, one that won’t live to see a day on next major Android Wear update, 2.0. While it was sad to learn that the revamp-ish UI of the Wear 2.0 won’t be available G Watch, it’s understandable as G Watch is quite old now, and runs on weak hardware.

There is not going to be an OS upgrade with M1D64K, and the G Watch will remain on Marshmallow, Android 6.0.1. Though, this should bring you the updated version of Google Play Services 10.0.84 (APK download here).

If you are fairly adventurous and do have some kind of previous flashing experience, flashing this update to your G Watch shouldn’t be much of a problem. The process involves routine flashing of system, boot and recovery in fastboot mode.
