South Korean firm LG announced that its new Android UI will be launched officially later this month alongside the firm’s forthcoming flagship smartphone, LG G4. This is the first time that the firm has officially admitted the existence of the LG G4 and that it will be announced at the end of this month.

The firm has revealed that the LG UX 4.0 will be preinstalled in the LG G4 smartphone that is all set to launch officially on April 28. The firm will be hosting press conferences in six cities across the globe to unveil the device.

As per LG, the upcoming UX v4.0 is quite simple and intuitive. The user experience will arrive with new software enhancements such as Quick Shot, Smart Board, and Smart Alerts. Also, it will have the existing ones including Knock Code, Q Slide and Q Note.

Here are the explanations on the new features that will be a part of the LG UX 4.0.

Quick Shot: It will capture images even when the screen is turned off. This is possible by double tapping on the volume down button to trigger the camera app and capturing the particular object.

Smart Board: This feature will display the information from calendar, music, heath and other apps in a single place.

Smart Alerts: Users can get alerts based on their lifestyle, smartphone usage and location.

Gallery: The updated gallery will create image albums for events, trips and more automatically like in Google+ Stories.

Expert Mode: This will provide access to a variety of settings in the camera app to let users to capture images like a pro.

Calendar: The updated calendar will bring information from social feeds and other sources.

Ring ID: Users can assign special ringtones to favorite contacts using this feature.
