The South Korean tech vendor LG has come up with the launch of a new Android smartphone called Band Play. This is a mid-range device that has been unveiled in the firm’s homeland South Korea.

The highlight of the LG Band Plan is its 1-watt speaker that should definitely render rich and clear audio output. Another highlight is that the device features a pair of LG QuadBeat 3 earphones out of the box. These earphones were announced in the market as one of the official accessories of the LG G4 smartphone.

Fueled by Android 5.1 Lollipop, the LG Band Play boasts of a 5 inch display with a HD screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Under its hood is a 64 bit quad core Snapdragon 410 processor that is teamed up with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of expandable default storage space.

The LG smartphone makes use of a 13 MP main snapper at its back with auto focus and a 5 MP front facing selfie shooter for video conferencing. A 2,300 mAh battery energizes the smartphone rendering enough power to it.

The LG Band Play is priced at 394,000 KRW (approx. $356) in South Korea and it will go on sale later this week in white and black color options. LG has not revealed anything related to the release of the device in the other markets.
