Lenovo is looking to upgrade its successful Tab 3 8-incher Android tablet with a new one, dubbed as TAB3 8 Plus (model no. TB-8703). We just found the Tab 8 Plus listed at GFXbench, which not only gets us its specsheet (or parts of it) but also a hint that its release date is close.
Inside, the tablet features a 8-inch display at a resolution of 19200×1200 pixels and octa-core 2.0GHz Qualcomm SoC to boot, along with 3GB RAM and 16GB storage. The tablet could feature 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing shooter.
All in all, the Lenovo TAB3 8 Plus looks to provide an upgrade over Lenovo current offering in Lenovo TAB3, and it looks have successfully done that as far as specs are concerned.
Lenovo isn’t that keen with Android updates, and this shows in the TAB3 shipping with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow even after entering 2017 now. If you own a different Lenovo device and would like to know if you’ll be lucky enough to get the update head over to our Lenovo Nougat update page.
There are couple of more upcoming device that we got to know about via GFXbench, which includes Sharp S1, while the more surprising one is an unknown 18.4″ tablet (maybe wrong size), that runs on stock Android in the listing, and feature great specsheet.
