A mid-range smartphone with a battery that would be more at home on a high-end smartphone, that is what Lenovo is preparing with the P770 Android smartphone, pictures and specs of which have leaked, showing off its monster 3500 mAh battery.
The specs of the device are rumored to include a 1.2GHz MediaTek MT6577 dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4.5 inches qHD (960×540) display, 8 megapixel rear camera, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean either out of the box or as an update soon after launch. Those humble specs should ensure that the 3500 mAh battery lasts quite a while, and maybe even give the current battery life champions in the Motorola camp – the RAZR MAXX and RAZR MAXX HD – a run for their money.
The P770 is rumored to cost only 1,700 Yuan ($270) in China, with no mention of release dates or whether it will reach other markets. That low price does sound a bit fishy considering it is a Lenovo device, but I’m sure no one will mind if that is indeed the official price. We’ll be sure to follow-up with further info on the P770 though, so stay tuned.
