Lenovo announces lollipop update for a bunch of its smartphones

Lenovo has also announced the lollipop update for seven of its Smartphones. The Android Upgrade Matrix page on Lenovo’s official website is the source of this information according to which Lenovo A5000, A6000, P70-A, S90-A, Vibe X2, Vibe Z2 and Vibe Z2 Pro smartphone owners will soon have the option to run the latest version of Android on their device.

The Vibe Z2 Pro will likely be updated first, followed quickly by the other smartphones.

Although the company was a tad slow with this announcement, lagging behind other key players such as Samsung, HTC, Sony, LG, etc some of whose phones are already running the latest version of Android — the update is finally here, and that’s what counts.

We are not sure whether Lenovo plans to update more of its devices at this point, so it’s recommended to keep stealing peeks at the official website or right here at TheAndroidSoul to know if and when your device will receive the much awaited OS Upgrade.

Stay tuned.
