What to know
-
Towers do not work at the start of the game because Batgirl is required first.
-
The key tool is Batgirl’s Hackarang, which is used on the tower’s flashing panel.
-
Completing the hacking minigame unlocks the tower and reveals nearby collectibles and hidden missions on the map.
-
Towers are usually found on top of buildings as large red and white radio towers.
LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight makes towers one of the most useful open-world tools, because they help you clear fog from a section of the map and spot everything worth collecting. The unlock process is simple once you know what to look for, but the game expects you to progress far enough to recruit Batgirl first.
Unlock Tower details
How to unlock the tower
Step 1
Unlock Batgirl through normal story progression, because towers are not usable before she joins the roster (Chapter 4).

Step 2
Travel to a tower location in Gotham and look for the large red and white radio tower sitting on a rooftop.

Step 3
Stand near the tower and find the panel with the flashing light. That is the interaction point for the unlock.

Step 4
Use Batgirl’s Hackarang on the flashing panel to begin the hacking minigame.

Step 5
Complete the minigame successfully to unlock the tower.

Step 6
Open the map again to use the tower’s new function, which shows collectibles and hidden missions in that area.

What towers reveal
Once unlocked, a tower acts like a visibility hub for its district.

It helps you locate the things most players miss, especially hidden missions and collection targets scattered across rooftops and side areas. That makes towers especially valuable for completion runs and for anyone trying to clean up a region before moving on.

Tower location tips
Towers are easy to spot once you know the visual marker: look high above street level for a tall red and white radio structure. If you are scanning a district and cannot see one from ground level, climb a nearby building or move to a higher street to get a clearer view of rooftops.
Tower unlocks are one of the simplest progression gates in the game, but they matter a lot for map completion. Get Batgirl first, use the Hackarang on the flashing panel, finish the minigame, and then use the tower to expose everything hidden in that area.
