While details of the entry-level ZenFone 5 Lite, the standard ZenFone 5 and the ZenFone 5 Max have been flying around lately, we haven’t heard much about the flagship variant in the new series. But thanks to WinFuture, we now know some details about this variant, which could be called Asus ZenFone 5 Pro.
Not so long ago, live photos and renders of the Huawei P20 Lite leaked online revealing an iPhone X-inspired design, but it seems Huawei isn’t the only OEM that fell in love with Apple’s flagship.
Apparently, Asus is lining up an iPhone X clone of its own in the shape of ZenFone 5 Pro. We already know that the Taiwanese company will be at the MWC 2018 to unveil the ZenFone 5 series, but it’s the first time we are getting our eyes on the phone’s sketches.
Like many other flagship phones in 2018, the ZenFone 5 Pro will rock an 18:9 display screen with a full HD+ resolution, but details of the screen size remain unknown. Although the phone will come with a notch like the iPhone X’s, it won’t feature a facial recognition system, rather, the notch will only house the selfie camera, earpiece and other sensors.
On the back of the ZenFone 5 is a dual-lens camera with a vertical arrangement, just like the iPhone X, but the LED flash is below the sensors as opposed to between them. There’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack, which should be welcomed by many fans.
At the moment, details about the specs remain unknown, but being a “fast flagship”, the ZenFone 5 should also rock the fastest processor there is – the Snapdragon 845 – perhaps alongside 4/6GB RAM, 64/128GB storage and Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
