In the last month, the Lenovo CEO showed off the prototypes of Moto 360 successor via the Chinese blogging website Weibo. Lately, we also got to know that the upcoming Motorola smartwatch will be codenamed Smelt and that it will arrive with a display having a resolution of 360×360 pixels.

Now, the second generation Moto 360 smartwatch has started making rounds in rumors and leaks steadily. The latest one comes in the form of images from Weibo again. The source of the image is not legit, but it shows a render that is similar to what was shown by the Lenovo executive.

The smartwatch in the leaked image has a similar hockey puck like design or disc and there are new watch straps with attachable metal arms. The previous set of leaked images of the smartwatch also showed the arms, but back then they were attached to the metal frame of the device. The ones that are seen in the recent leaks are like inserts.

The physical button at the center as in the yesteryear model is also to be noted. There is a flat tire bezel housing the display drivers of the smartwatch, but that is missing in this render.

As the original Moto 360 was announced officially at the Google I/O 2014, we can expect the same launch frame for the Moto 360 (Gen 2).
