It’s about time we came to know what Asus has in store for 2017 as regards its Android phones portfolio. Which basically brings us to ZenFone 4 — which is rather odd as Asus had launched one back in 2014 too, along with ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 6. But anyway, seems the 2017 Asus sets will be dubbed around ZenFone 4 moniker, as the leaked slides show.

Asus’ flagships may not cause the same effect that Samsung’s or LG’s flagship do and we’re talking about those breath-stopping-timeless-feel effects that the latter devices generate. But they do pack in quality hardware nonetheless. Based on the leaked images, we can see that Asus is looking to divide the Zenfone 4 sets into three categories: budget, mid-range and premium tiers.

Let’s start with the Zenfone 4 Max, whose predecessor lived up to its name as a portable power bank capable of charging other devices too. On close inspection of the first image, we notice two things that stand out. First off, Asus has packed in dual cameras at the back and second, the home button is now physical and could most probably house a fingerprint sensor too, similar to the one found on the Zenfone 3 Ultra.

Unfortunately, that’s all we got to find out from the leaked renders as the Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 4s are pretty much clouded in mystery. There’s also a good chance that the alleged dual lens shooter may make it to both these devices. The Asus Zenfone 4 will take the place of the Zenfone 3 and the Zenfone 4S will carry the title of Asus’ ultra premium flagship.

A couple of years back, Asus wowed us all with their low light camera performance at MWC. We hope Asus has something super secretive in the works for these devices, to be shown off at the upcoming 2017 Computex trade show in Taipei.
