After sending Nougat 7.1.1 update to Maven 2 users last month, ZTE has started rolling out September security patch for Maven 2 users at AT&T.
The last update that brought Android 7.1.1 to the device arrived as version number Z831V1.0.0B29. This time, the September security patch comes as version number Z831V1.0.0B30 and weighs 26MB.
While most of the OEMs clearly mention if they have included Blueborne security patch along with September security patch, the changelog for Maven 2 update doesn’t mention Blueborne, so we are not sure whether it includes Blueborne patch or not. In case you are not aware of the Blueborne attack vector, you can read more about it here.
Now that ZTE Maven 2 has received Nougat 7.1.1 update, the next update that we expect the device to receive is Android Oreo 8.0. However, unlike HTC, Sony, and Motorola, ZTE has not revealed any plans or name of devices that will receive Android Oreo.

If ZTE Maven 2 receives Android Oreo in future (chances are rare), you will get new features such as picture in picture mode, snooze notifications, auto fill for apps etc.
