A couple weeks ago, OnePlus 5 and 5T users received updates that brought about one of the most talked-about Android features in the recent times – Google Project Treble. Even before the dust settles, OnePlus is throwing in another interesting feature with the latest updates to the two devices.

Coming in as OxygenOS Open Beta 14 for OnePlus 5 and Open Beta 12 for OnePlus 5T, the updates bring support for yet another interesting feature – Google Lens. The feature can be accessed directly from the OnePlus camera app shortcut, where you only have to pull up from the bottom and hit “Google Lens.”

There have been some issues with the camera quality on both devices in what some people termed as “oil painting effect” and while some artistic people enjoyed it, others simply distaste it. Well, you’ll be glad to hear that the latest Open Beta updates are addressing this issue.

Open Beta 14 and 12 are both rolling out to OnePlus 5 and 5T over the air, meaning some devices may not get it straight away. You can always try forcing the update via the Oxygen Updater, at least until OnePlus puts the download files on the official site later this week.
