Samsung has started seeding the March security update to the unlocked variants of its flagship handsets, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge in the US. The update is being rolled out over-the-air (OTA) as we speak. The update is based on Android 6.0, so we’re yet to Nougat rollout for these unlocked sets, whose international and carrier branded variants have received Android 7.0 update already.
Arriving with the software version G930UUES4AQC1 and G935UUES4AQC1, for S7 and S7 Edge respectively, the update installs the March security patch on both the smartphones.
What else it does besides installing the latest security patch is something we don’t know yet, but it’s good to see these handsets receive latest patches because the last they received were from December 2016.
Sure, you can think of fixes for several bugs, improvements in the performance, and overall stability as part of the update, which is a general item on any OTA changelog.

As the update is being rolled out as an OTA, it may take a while until it flashes on your handset. So, you can either wait until a message pops up on your screen or head straight to the Settings > About device > System updates to check for it manually.
Also, ensure to connect to a Wi-Fi network before you hit the download button to avoid data charges and charge your device sufficiently before installing the update. Taking a backup of sensitive data is always recommended.
