Samsung has a new update for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ users of the global models. The updates are arriving as version G960FXXU4CSE3 for the S9 and G965FXXU4CSE3 for the S9+ and they have some goodies on board.

High up on the list is the new Android security patch for May 2019. The S9 pair is receiving the latest patch ahead of the new kid on the block in Galaxy S10, but that’s not strange at all coming from Samsung.

Also part of the update are some camera improvements. After the new build CSE3 is installed, your S9 or S9+ will enjoy improved camera beauty effect as well as improved stability for slow-motion video recording.

The update also improves the stability of Bluetooth connectivity and generally, system-wide stability. The usual bug fixes and performance improvements are also part of the new update, which is available over the air.

So far, those in Germany are already receiving the OTA, with more European countries expected to join the party in the coming days. It could take another week or two before the same update arrives in the U.S.
