There have already been quite a lot of rumors surrounding Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 8 handset. Adding to them is a new design schematic which suggests that the Galaxy Note 8 could get a circular fingerprint scanner on the back.

As we all know, Samsung phones have always sported a rectangular-ish fingerprint scanner that too on the front. The Galaxy S8 was the first handset from the company to come with a rear mounted scanner. And, based on how things are turning out, we may see a circular fingerprint scanner on the Note 8. This also means that we won’t be seeing the fingerprint scanner embedded into the screen.

The schematic also reveals the vertically placed dual camera setup on the back. A rectangular-ish fingerprint scanner would look a bit out of place and hence the change in shape.

Furthermore, we also got a look at the top as well as the bottom edges of the handset via the schematics. A SIM tray alongside a speaker grille seems to rest on the top while the 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, another speaker grille, and a Stylus port seem to be located on the bottom.

The Note 8 could also have a dedicated button for the Bixby akin to the Galaxy S8. As for the specs, the Galaxy Note 8 is tipped to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 chipset.
