Not only the Kindle Fire HD 7-inch, Amazon has updated another of its newly released tablets, the Kindle Fire 2nd generation, to version 10.1.3. Even though no exact date is available, but it seems the update was released today only i.e. September 14, 2012.

Moreover, not much is available as regards what has been updated or fixed and all that — no, we don’t know whether Amazon found out that it was brutal to replace Google search with Bing and thus fix that act with this update — but in case you have a Kindle Fire 2nd Generation, then just go to settings and check out your device’s software version. For this, pull the notification bar, click on More » Device » About » check your system version.

If the software version is not 10.1.3_user_1326620, you’re in luck, head over to the Amazon’s update page for 2nd Gen Kindle Fire and grab your download and follow the instructions there to update your Kindle Fire 2nd Generation to version 10.1.3. If that’s already 10.1.3_user_1326620, you’re still in luck, because your tablet has already been updated to latest software version available — but that’s pretty unlucky too, you missed on the joyful chance to discover, download and install the update manually.

If you get any troubles updating your 2nd Gen Kindle Fire using Amazon’s instructions set, let us know in comments, we’ll be sure to help you out.
