Verizon Wireless has new updates for the Samsung Galaxy J7 V and its prepaid version, the Galaxy J7 Prepaid. Both updates bring along the latest Android security patches available for the pair, but not the latest available for devices like the Google Pixels.

If you own a Galaxy J7 V, your June 2018 patch comes as software version J727VVRS2ARF1 and for the J7 Prepaid, watch out for version J727VPPVRS2ARF1. Besides installing the latest Android security patches, the updates also bring along multiple bug fixes and general system stability enhancements.

The Galaxy J7 V and J7 Prepaid are getting the updates over the air and given they just started rolling out on July 12, the wait for an OTA notification may take you up to next week. You can wait, but you can also try going the manual way via the Settings > About phone menu.
