Update [August 02, 2019]: Another US carrier, T-Mobile is now rolling out July 2019 update for the Galaxy S10 handsets. The OTA comes as build ASGC, so the software version of the July update for T-Mobile S10, S10+ and S10e is G973USQU2ASGC, G975USQU2ASGC and G970USQU2ASGC respectively.

One of largest telecom companies in the US, Verizon Wireless, has started rolling out an update for the Samsung Galaxy S10 lineup, bringing the July security patch to the devices.

So far, Verizon has been pretty dependable in providing timely updates for the Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, and S10e, and the company has bolstered its position even further with this release.

The OTA update primarily bumps the devices’ security patch to July 1st, 2019, but it has also been engineered to resolve known issues and optimize system performance. The update for the Samsung Galaxy S10 carries software version G973USQU2ASGB, while the updates for the S10+ and S10e come with versions G975USQU2ASGB and G970USQU2ASGB, respectively.

As this is an incremental OTA, it might take a while for your Galaxy S10 to get the update notification. To initiate the update manually, go to Settings > System updates > Check for system updates. Repeat the process a couple of times if you don’t get the update immediately.

Thanks to the S10’s flagship status, the devices have been marked to get the Android Q update sooner than any other Samsung smartphone, including the upcoming Galaxy Note 10. The smartphone carriers in the US don’t always show the same agility when it comes to updates, but they, too, are expected to roll out the Android Q update within the first quarter of 2020.

In other news, AT&T and T-Mobile have rolled out the July security update for the Samsung Galaxy S9+, S9, and Note 8. They are yet to release the update for the S10 devices.
