July security patch rolling out for AT&T Galaxy S7 Active as an OTA update

While last month’s update for AT&T Galaxy S7 Active brought prominent solutions for issues like advanced Messaging issue, AT&T Messages Backup and Sync issue, Wi-Fi calling issue besides the June security patch, this month’s update is a small one that just brings the July Security patch.

AT&T has started rolling out an OTA update that brings July security patch for Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. The update weighs 43MB and should reach your device in the coming days.

The current update, which arrives as the build number G891AUCS2BQG1 requires your device to be on Android Nougat with build number G891AUCU2BQF2.

Like any other security patch, the update takes care of various security vulnerabilities. You can also expect performance and stability improvements from the update.

It is advisable to keep your handset charged as high as 50 percent while installing the update. You can check for the update manually via the device settings. Go to Settings – About – Software updates.
