The details about a new Meizu smartphone have emerged showing the device being powered by the still to be released Samsung Exynos 7872 SoC. The Exynos 7872 SoC is meant to be mid-range chipset with a hexa-core CPU built on 14nm FinFet manufacturing process, with four cortex-A53 cores working for power efficiency and two cortex-A73 cores meant for high performance.
The name of the Meizu device is not listed in the page showing the detailed specsheet. But going by the specifications, it seems to exactly match with the recently released Meizu E2 smartphone leading to us guess that the new device is another variant of E2 dubbed as Meizu E2S with Exynos processor, while E2 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core chipset.
The Meizu E2S, like its predecessor, is expected to feature a 5.5-inch full HD display with 2.5D curved glass. It will pack in 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage. The device also features the unique 4 LED dual-tone flash. Power comes courtesy a 3400mAh battery with mCharge 3.0 support. On the imaging front, we find a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and f/2.2 and an 8MP camera in the front with f/2.0. The OS shown in the list is Flyme 6.0 which should be Nougat based.
