Knowing Motorola and their lightening fast Lollipop updates last year for the then-flagship Moto X2, we couldn’t help but think of Marshmallow update coming soon to Moto X Pure edition users, who are receiving invites for a soak test of an unknown update right now.
This could easily turn out to be a minor bug fixer update, but when there is Android 6.0 update on the horizon, the avid Android fans are sure to hope for the biggest update yet.
If you own a Moto X Pure edition (2015) in US, then be sure to check your inbox for the invite from Motorola. And if you have a chance, we’d say do accept it. Here you have your easy chance to receive an early preview of Marshmallow update from Motorola, before it’s rolled out to public.
Because Google has successfully updated devices with the spec-sheet of Android One in Asia to Android 6.0, it’s not really that big a deal for Motorola — who uses stock Android UI — to pull it for its flagship device in US.
After all, Motorola confirmed they are working on Marshmallow update, sooner than others, and have also cut down on the work required to be done by already clarifying that some of their apps like Moto Assist won’t be part of the Marshmallow update as they are well covered now in stock Android 6.0 build.
We’re hoping for Android 6.0 for Moto X Pure Edition, are you? What’s your take on this?
