Samsung introduced its new intelligent personal assistant called ‘Bixby‘ during the Galaxy S8 announcement recently. The assistant resides within the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, but thanks to developers, it can now be had on the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, partially.
Unfortunately, you don’t get the full blown Bixby experience with this. All you get is the Bixby Home, which is similar to the Google Now cards. You swipe left to see all relevant cards, but you cannot actually bring up Bixby and have it do things.

Still, you can check out what the Bixby Home looks like on the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Here’s how it goes:
- Install the Galaxy S8 launcher apk file on your device.
- Install Bixby apk as well.
- Long press on Home screen to go to launcher settings.
- Activate Bixby Home from there.
- Restart the device.
That’s about it. You should now be able to bring up Bixby Home by swiping left on the Home screen. We’re not sure if Samsung would officially bring the Bixby assistant to older Samsung devices such as the Galaxy S7, Galaxy S6, and Galaxy Note 5.
